Vendor Biography
Turtle Bay is a small village located at the heart of Watamu town. It borders the Indian ocean to the East and also shares neighborhoods with Dongokundu Village to the South, Dabaso Village to the North and Mikokoni Village to the West. It is found in Dabaso sub-location, Gede Location, Watamu Ward, Kilifi North Sub- County in Kilifi County, here in Kenya. It has a population of approximately 500 households. The main economic activities include tourism, fishing, farming and bee keeping. It is mainly inhabited by the Giryama and Sanya communities. There are also other minority communities living in the village including whites. It is very peaceful and a nice place to be, considering the clean and sandy beaches around.
