11. Antifungal qualities makes it resistant to weeds ,bugs and moulds helping to protect young disease and decay.
12. Coco peat maybe compressed to less than one- fifth of its original volume unlike other organic media like rockwool, vermiculite or perlite.
HOW TO USE COCOPEAT
1. Obtain the high quality coco peat blocks of Ecomilagro.
2. Choose a suitable area for expanding the coco peat blocks (e.g. a large container or dedicated expansion area).
3. Ensure that the area is clean and free from debris.
4. Place the desired number of coco peat blocks in the expansion area and fit it with water, covering the blocks completely.
5. 5kg block would need 22l_ 25l of water.
6. Wait for the expansion and break apart and fluff the expanded coco peat.
7.continue applying water to the remaining dry area while loosening the enlarged coco peat.
8. Use expanded coco peat as a mulch or additive for your soil, putting soil, seedling trays or cultivation.
9. Apply expanded coco peat to your cultivation, potting mix, seedling trays, Soil mulching or amendment etc.
. recommended potting mix ratio is 35% coco peat,40-45%soil and 20-25% compost.
.combine with soil in a 3:1 ratio (3parts soil to 1 part coco peat)in order to be applied directly to gardens.
. incorporate up to 1″_2″ of coco peat to retain soil moisture ,after slightly ploughing the planting area.
